WOAH! I know! Sounds crazy, right? LB is just 2 weeks passed 14 months, and she is getting far too advanced for mommy’s comfort. Today we went out to eat to celebrate my husband getting a raise at work. We were all in a great mood, and having fun, then all of a sudden a family gets seated right next to us.
OK. I was a little nervous because any time that has ever happened, she gets totally distracted and won’t eat. LB starts eating, but then I realize there is a little boy sitting in a high chair, about the same age, maybe younger, who knows, but he was such a cutie. Mind you, he also had very beautiful eyes.
At first it wasn’t a problem, she was eating, and only glances were exchanged…then smiles. Then it progresses into my daughter making what we call “ojitos.” Ok, where she put that together, I have no clue, but I tell her “ay que pretty ojitos” (translation: Oh, what pretty eyes!”) as she bats her eyes. Ok, that cracked me up, but then after the laughing subsided, I hear smacking sounds, and I look around, trying to figure it out, and I see LB smacking her lips and smiling at the little boy!
I couldn’t believe it. My daughter was full on flirting, making “ojitos” and blowing kisses. That’s it! Daddy’s ready to get the electric fence, and might invest in a shot gun! HAH, I kid, I kid! I can’t believe how fast kids are growing up these days. I thought I sheltered the poor thing. Guess I was wrong!
Do you have a “kids are growing up too fast” story or any other funny baby story to share? I’d love to hear it!

Your story is toooo funny
I can totally see it happening! My problem right now is with my 11 year old son…not so much him as it is the little neighbor girls, they are ages 7 and 9. When ever they come to play with supposedly my girls, they end up CLINGING to my son…at first he hated it, but now he is starting to enjoy the attention…I guess it’s time to move or something! LOL
Thanks, Becky Jane
Thanks Becky! I can just imagine how you feel with the little girls all up on your son, a little weird that they’re actually CLINGING. lol It’s funny that now I think as an adult it’s easier to understand my parents felt about all of this stuff. My parents hated the idea of me talking to boys! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your story
