Only a few days ago, I finally decided to joined this new site called theblogfrog.com. I’ve seen it on other’s people’s blogs before, but now that I’ve joined it, I see some serious value in it. First, it is incredibly easy to use, and helps build a community for your blog in seconds. Well, maybe like minutes, but it’s really EASY!
The cool part is that it’s not as overwhelming as twitter, and since I’m pretty lame at coming up with tweets, have such a hard time being in touch all the time since I am not very proficient at being witty and relevant at the drop of a hat. Oh yeah, there’s also the part of taking care of my daughter that has decided she wants to explore EVERYTHING, and has been keeping me really busy and exhausted lately. Don’t get me wrong, I still use twitter, and probably always will, but blogfrog is just different and feels like it caters to me more as a blogger, well, duh!
Anyway, so this is where blogfrog comes in. It’s really easy to use, there are tons of users on it, and it’s like outsourcing your community, for free. For a premium, you can also add other bells and whistles. I’m digging it so far, but I’m thinking that I’d love to chat more with the people that read my blog. Yes, YOU! I feel so guilty that I have such a hard time keeping up with comments. That’s something I have a really hard time doing, but I’d still like to keep up a conversation, and I feel like blogfrog has come to my rescue. I really do appreciate your thoughtful comments, and it keeps me motivated and inspired to keep writing.
I’d also like to be able to keep up with everyone’s blog in one easy place. Oh yeah, that’s also another benefit. It’s so easy to go to people’s blogs from there since every discussion your participate in, there is a link to your blog.
It’s all very cool, but don’t take it from me, go on over there, and check it out for yourself. If you look on my right sidebar, there is a way to join my community, and when you sign up, you can even create your own community, and link it to your own blog, if you have one.
I think this will be a great way for everyone to stay updated and get more traffic to their blogs. Let me know what you think of it.
