When I heard that @SearsPortrait is going to give away a ticket to BlogHer ’10 this year, I started on my post right away. Hey, you never know, I just might be that lucky winner.
As most of you know, the conference is SOLD OUT, but if you’re lucky enough, you might be able to get a ticket off the waiting list, or get to buy one from a lady that has had an unexpected change of plans.
I’d love to go to BlogHer ’10 since I’m new to the conference scene, and would like to go to what I perceive to be the biggest conference of the year, and meet Jennifer James, the found of MomBloggersClub, and MomBlogMag. I really respect her, and would love to shake her hand personally, as she is the woman that got me rolling as a blogger; I didn’t even know it until after the fact. Sounds weird, right? Well, there would be tons of ladies at BlogHer ’10 just like her, and I want to hear their stories and get even more inspired.
Not only am I new to the conference scene, I’m relatively new to blogging, and delving myself into all the business aspects of blogging as well as starting up other web-related projects, so it would be awesome to surround myself with like-minded people.
Thank you Sears Portrait Studio for sponsoring this contest. Regretfully, I have absolutely NO professional portraits of my daughter. I have been trying to get her to go, but something always comes up, or we forget, well… by we, I mean me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I have no photos of my daughter, I do, I just have the cheesy at home ones, that I take everyday. If you go through my photo album, there are literally thousand of photos, but none professional.
I really, really wish that I had taken the extra effort to take her to the Sears Portrait Studio and get her gussied up and posed for those unforgettable shots with perfect lighting and cute props. Baby bear is so cute and has the most adorable smile ever, but I don’t want to miss this cute baby stage to go away, and I want the photos to be just right. What better way than to freeze these moments with professional portraits?
I’ll get her in so that we can have photos before her first birthday, but we’ll see how that goes. I think we’ll get it done. Maybe I’ll get her in to have that mother’s day collage taken.
Taking photos is going to be fun, and I can’t wait to see who wins the BlogHer ’10 ticket! Good luck to all the participants!
