And Now, Back To The Program…

Since baby got sick, it spilled over onto mom, then onto dad.  Dad rarely gets sick, or at least doesn’t show it, but I know when he’s lugging medicine around in a sack, something is wrong.  With the haywire around here, it’s no wonder that I’ve barely even had much time to even clean the house or even cook much dinner.  For the sick days it was baby jar food…GASP! and sandwiches every night.  I rarely do baby jarred food, but since baby was teething, that’s all she would take, and good thing since I didn’t have energy for much else.  Actually, dad was the one that made the sandwiches.

I have caught up on things, but we did let things go.  We are all feeling better, baby is no longer dealing with any of the nasty baby stuff and is dealing well with the teething since those teething tablets.  The best part is that she’s been sleeping through the night the last few nights, and allowing me to catch up on my sleep that I missed.

In respect to laundry, I don’t think we ever went through more laundry at any one time, and had to deal with it all at once since we ran out of everything.  I still have to catch up on mine.  I don’t know if I want to do it…I shutter at the thought.

Anyway, now that we’re all feeling better, I can’t wait to get out and playing with other kids again, going to the park, going and having spring fun, while the weather is still mild.  I know that she probably got sick playing with other kids, but hey, what fun is life if it doesn’t throw  you a curve ball every once in a while, right?

Currently, we’re working on sticking to a more predictable schedule.  Baby seems to like the current schedule better, and it’s more natural and she’s actually always on cue now.

Now that we’re only a couple of weeks away from her birthday, I’m getting so excited!  It might throw a wrench in her schedule again, but I’m trying to prepare myself for that and what is to come this next year.  We’ll just have to wait and see, but I’m sure we’ll have tons of fun and lots of growing and talking!

I know I’ve missed several days of posting, and apologies for that, but I just didn’t have the mental capacity to do much else than maybe read a few emails and maybe tweet…if I even did that.  I think if I had written anything in my debilitated mental state, I may have written in delirium and about stuff I may regret later, so there you have it.  In any case, thanks for sticking around!

And now, back to the program…
