Mounting

Mounting dishes

Mounting laundry

Mounting work

Mounting pressure

Mounting fears

Mounting guilt

Never so many wishes

In such a quandry

Never felt like such a jerk

Need to have a refresher

of how from these tears

confidence was built.

baby hand and parent armIt doesn’t matter how much I feel I’ve conquered and won,

in this battle that’s motherhood, there’s always tons to get done.

How true it all is. It is SO nice to know I’m not the only one feeling this way. Always overwhelmed, always feeling guilty, always “the bad mom”. Deep down we know we’re amazing mothers, but so hard to get to the deep down sometimes.
(Sidenote thank you for the trackback!)

you’re welcome! Actually, after reading your post, it rung true with me, and inspired me to write a poem about it. Sometimes when I’m feeling overwhelmed, I write poetry to get the raw emotions out, and deal with them. It’s much easier to get it out than deal with it on the inside. Thanks for being my muse for the day :)

Right on! Sometimes you can just feel the weight of it all in your psyche.
