Everyday when I wake up, I forget that I was once a woman that cared about my appearance. It’s a funny thing that motherhood does to a woman. I’ve met people with spit up in my hair, that had knots in it, and probably reeked of who knows what too.
I remember the days when I had the time to pick out my hair care products and skin products and had the time to use them. Ah, those were the days. What happened to that girl? Oh wait, I just answered my own question. I was a girl, still a child myself, and my priorities were mostly on having fun, and figuring out what I wanted to do with myself.
Now that I have other people to think about besides myself, I find that I’m not that hot girl I once was. Now that I’m a new person with new worries and new priorities, I need a new beauty routine that is easy to implement and easy to maintain.
I know there are many women out there that are in the same boat that I am, but does anyone have any suggestions? What products do you use to cut down on time with the biggest impact?

I’m a huge fan of Aveda’s “Be Curley”. For curely mops of hair like mine to be able to fix it quick is almost impossible. But with this all I have to do is squirt my hair down with water, use a small dab of “Be Curley” and I’m looking like I actually had time to shower before doing the other millions if things I have to do in the AM before my kiddo wakes up. And it will almost smell clean too. Might even cut the smell of spit up but I haven’t had to try that one for awhile thank goodness! I’m also a big fan of applying my blush to my eyelids when I’m applying to the rest if my face. Just a light puff and Voila! Color! It’s not perfect but I don’t look washed out and dead either.
Got your email a while back! We do need to get together soon!
I am so lame, I barely use any products at all anymore. Just some straightener in my hair if I decide to do it (which is rare) and some lotion on my face. I am no diva, that’s for sure!
