As a mom that is new to the world of blogging and to the world of mommy, I have to say that it hasn’t been easy. When I found out that MomBloggersClub is running a contest for three moms with the best blog posts about how the Tord Mini could simplify life, I got pretty excited.
Being a mac user, I’ve been pretty happy with my way of doing things, but I have to say that I’m always open to new ways of simplifying my life. I think that the Tord Mini looks pretty cool, and I dig the chic design. The most important thing to me that would make my life simpler, is the size of the computer.
My daughter is just about to be 8 months old, crawling, jumping, walking…and grabbing, so having a smaller computer that I can easily put away would make my life as it is now SO much simpler. I’m constantly having to struggle with keeping her from attacking the computer and being able to put it away with out dropping it.
Not only that, but I did a tiny bit of research and I found out that it has something called HP QuickWeb# that allows the user to gain instant access to the internet without even having to boot up the system. Pretty neat! I can’t even begin to count how many times it would have come in handy to have something like that on my macbook.
In fact, you know when I have to put my computer away in a jiffy, because of Ms. Grabby Fingers, I would love to be able to just gain access to the internet so I could jump online to research and idea I mustered up without too much hassle. Who ever thought having a baby would be so much work to just keep things away from them?
With something so tiny, I would be able to function on the go much, much easier than with my current laptop. Traveling with the macbook is a lot tougher than I thought it would be, especially since now I have a baby, diaper bag and computer to lug. Needless to say, the computer gets left at home ALL the time, and so I miss precious opportunities. With the Tord Mini, I’d be able to go out with my daughter, for say, a play at the park, or what have you, and be able to do all the things I need to do without wasting precious time, and not having to be tethered to home base because of the size of my computer.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about my computer–it’s a mighty fine computer and gets me through the days and is reliable, but when it comes down to it, I’d love to have the device because it’s so tiny and so fashionable.
Anyway, I’m probably just fantasizing a little too much about having such a convenient and ultra chic laptop, and really exicted about the cool feature of HP QuickWeb#. I’m curious what other situations that might come up that could make this so much easier for me and my family.

I have to do a lot of traveling and I use a friend’s extra laptop while I’m on the road. It would be great if I didn’t have to use his and didn’t have to carry such a big thing through airport security! I can’t imagine having to carry a baby and a diaper bag as well, like you have to! Good luck.

I would love this mini Tord by HP as I am a Mom who owns a small at home business I travel alot to meet clients, I manage my schedule and all my clients on a laptop computer, which are big and bulky to carry this however makes it uncomfortable when meeting with my clients and having this cute and easy to use computer would make it a real joy to travel around meeting clients while scheduling and managing all my days business on this useful easy to use mini computer.
great post!! this does look great for mom’s with small kids! I have a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old and this would be a great escape to use and keep handy without taking up much space.

This HP 100 Mini netbook would be a blessing to our family, too, as we only have one old desktop to share amongst our family of 7. We rely heavily on spreadsheets, lists,email and schedules, etc. to streamline our day to day activities, and the portability of the HP 100 mini would make it so effortless and stylish. Plus, mobile computing would be perfect to pass the time–when time stands still–like when waiting in a doctor’s office!

Nice blog Halemom! I too could really make good use of a Tord Mini to get my work done where ever the need arises. This is a beautiful product, functional as well, one that can be put through the paces and surely keep up without a single glitch. Nice job once again HP!! I would LOVE to own one of these notebooks! I’m a mom blogger and work full-time as an elementary teacher outside of the house- a 45 mile commute each way! I don’t own any of the latest gadgets- my cell phone makes calls…and that’s it. With my life split between two different cities and a 4-year old tagging along, this Mini would do wonders in helping me stay connected and and on top of all my commitments!
being able to get on and off the internet quickly with a toddler in the house is beyond necessary!

Something this small would be really convenient for me since I need a computer for work and it is light enough to take on the bus which I use to commute every day. I could check e-mails & bills on my commute. My old laptop was actually stolen recently so I would love a new one! Good luck!

Hi HaleMom! When I saw this contestI got very excited. I’ve been trying to win a laptop of any size because it’s a medical necessity for me. I only have a desktop computer & have never had a smaller one. I had back surgery last year, and sitting in one place for too long is the worst thing I can do so it’s really hard for me to get much work done without being able to change locations and recline once in a while. That’s how much winning this would change my life. I could definitely be more productive and also get to spend more time with my husband because when he’s relaxing in front of the TV at night, I’m upstairs in the office sitting here in front of the computer! I sometimes feel like this room is a prison cell and I’m chained to the desk!
I’m putting all of my faith & prayers into this contest and I thank you for being part of it.
The Tord HP Mini would really make my life simpler by being able to move freely around my home and still be connected to the internet to complete the daily task… emailing, blogging, search for information, etc. It would also be great to take to my many doctor appointments where there are times I have to sit and wait to see my doctor for an hour or more…. I was looking at the HP mini Tord and Windows 7 and love all the features of both. The laptop is beautiful and Windows 7 features would really simplify my life. I love that it has a large HD and it has quick access features to find the files I need. And there is fast web surfing.

An Hp Mini would simplify my life because I would be able to concentrate more on my internet activity with out my grandson and his friends always in my family room where my desktop is. Lots of noise when the boys get to playing their games. I can easily take a laptop to another room for more Mommy Quiet Times.

I am in the process of trying to start my own business and I currently work from home…but I rarely stay in one place with my laptop. As I suffer from degenerative disc disease in my cervical spine – coupled with a heavy laptop – changing my “workspace” throughout the day is NOT an easy task.
The HP Mini would simplify my life by allowing me to move my computer from place to place on my own…no more bothering the rest of the family! This netbook would be a true lifesaver!
