Yes, I said it, get up and get off your butt. I’m guilty of this sometimes, but according to recent research and study, people that sit for long stretches of time can be adversely affecting their health.
Experts: Sitting too much could be deadly

I’m getting out of the habit of taking the easy way out if getting things done around the house and trying to get up and get moving more often. Now that I know it could be deadly to be lazy, I’m going to have to make some changes.
Instead I asking my husband to get me a glass of water, I’ll go get my own. There are so many small ways to get moving and interrupt sitting stretches as to minimize the risk of my health. I also need to take my daughter for more walks and take time to be less sedentary.
What are some ways you can make small changes to your day that can interrupt sitting stretches? Anyway, breaks are good for not only the mind, but for the body as well. So, unless you just sat down at the computer, and I’m the first thing you’ve read all day, take this time to take a walk, or go get a breath of fresh air, but please get up!

One good thing about being a mom is it certainly gives us tons of opportunities to get up and go, right? Great post and great reminders. Thanks!
