A tragedy hit home today as a shooting occurred today on a military base in Ft. Hood, in Killeen, Texas, only about 60 miles from Austin. The impact of the tragedy is not yet felt completely as the names of the victims have not been released, and many families are waiting on pins and needles. My heart and prayers go out to the victims, and to the families that suffer the losses.
There are varying theories on why the gunman would do such a heinous act, but I don’t believe that this man should be talked about because he is a depraved individual, and to show respect to the victims, and their families.
Most major news channels are covering this story extensively, so I will not go into detail, but I will pray that all those that are wounded will make it through, and the ones that did not make it through the attack rest in peace, as the man that did this act will be punished for his actions.
And now, lets take a moment to honor the soldiers that were affected by the attacks as they take great risk to represent our country.
